Another half term full of reading fun for the students and staff at Beacon View Primary Academy including an ‘underwater’ safari, a visit to a ‘book zoo’, writing a story using a football, making dinosaurs fly and much more.
The following students received an award at the reading celebration assembly on 4th April 2014:
13 Super Star Readers this half term – chosen by their teachers for reading 3 times a week plus an additional reason such as: huge improvements with attitude to reading, always reading EVERY night, reading when on holiday, challenging themselves with book choice and showing a real commitment to their reading
- Cohen Hartley -for the variety of things he reads and for increased confidence when reading with reading volunteer
- Logan May – for his continuous love of reading.
- Stephanie Hung – Stephanie enjoys reading and always records her reading in her reading record and brings it into school every day.
- Josh Hawkins – always reads every single night. Reads a range of different books.
- Madison Kelsey- as she loves reading and is always really keen!
- Cameron Hayles – for getting into his reading this half term and being a positive influence by sharing his favourite books with other boys in the class.
- Sophe Jenson – Has read every week this half term
- Eden Gunner – for always being a star reader since starting school in Reception.
- Isabella Philp.- Being a superstar reader
- Shanon Mycroft – Overall good reader
- Phoebe Hicks – Commitment to reading both at home and at school
- Dyllan Phelps – Superstar reader
- Zak Davies – Has read at home 3 times a week every term
